The Benefits: Wooden Softwood Gates

Softwood gates are a great way to combine aesthetic appeal with practicality and we are here to explain the many benefits a softwood wooden gate can bring to your home.

They Look Great!

The first and most obvious reason for purchasing our softwood treated gates are they look great! Softwood gates have a natural and timeless look, in-keeping with most garden landscapes whilst aesthetically enhances the property. Entrance gates, both driveway and pedestrian will be the first aspect your friends and family notice when visiting your home so it’s important your gates match your home’s style and outdoor area.

Cost-Effective

Softwood gates are a good cost-effective option over materials such as metal or hardwood. Our gates are made from high-quality Scandinavian Redwood (a slow grown wood) and although Scandinavian Redwood is a softwood, it remains one of the toughest materials used outdoors.
Not only is Scandinavian Redwood durable but it is also highly resistant to decay and insects, making it less likely to rot quicker.

Versatile

Scandinavian Redwood is a versatile timber that is easy to cut, plane, sand and finish, making it an excellent solution for softwood gates. We can manufacture softwood gates to your chosen size and style.

Easy to Maintain

Our softwood treated gates are low maintenance, with little to no management, we simply just recommend an oil-based treatment to be applied every 6-month to a year! You can also transform the look of your softwood gates by staining or painting them to your desired colour or design.
